BASL series of events offer industry the opportunity to network with their target audience therefore gaining exposure at key events but also supporting BASL’s educational work for the ultimate benefit of patients.

  • BASL Annual Meeting (up to 500 delegates)
    The BASL Annual Meeting is the highlight of the BASL calendar and the main UK liver meeting. Eminent UK and overseas speakers deliver an informative and exciting meeting over three days, with the addition of key lectures and lively debates. This years meeting will take place face to face in Leeds at the Queens Hotel from 20th-23rd September. To find out more about the meeting and how to support it, contact Steve@basl.org.uk .
  • BLTG Transplant Meeting (up to 150 delegates)
    Since 2014, the British Liver Transplant Group has held an Annual Transplant Meeting which is usually held during the BASL Annual Meeting.  The meeting runs on Tuesday with a joint symposium on Wednesday morning.  This year's BLTG meeting will take place face to face at the Queens Hotel in Leeds from 20th-21st September.   • BLNA Annual Meeting (up 100 delegates)
    The BLNA Nurse Meeting takes place during BASL and this year there is a joint session with BASL on Thursday morning, with the BLNA programme running on Thursday afternoon and on the Friday.  This years BLNA meeting will take place face to face at the Queens Hotel in Leeds from 22nd-23rd September.   • BVHG events (up to 70 delegates per meeting)
    The British Viral Hepatitis Group (BVHG) aims to improve the management and study of patients with chronic liver disease. The BVHG organises two one-day events during the year bringing together a range of specialist healthcare professionals. The next meeting of the group will be face to face on 14th October 2022 and will be held in Birmingham.   • BASL School of Hepatology and School of Transplantation meetings (2 separate meetings)
    The purpose of the School is to explore and teach the current pathophysiological basis of therapies in liver disease, as well as guideline-based investigation and treatment. The target group is trainees in gastroenterology, hepatology and transplantation. Speakers are leading UK experts. The virtual meetings are running again in 2022, and are a series of 1 hour monthly webinars, with a face to face meeting being planned for October which will take place in Nottingham. Provision of a travel bursary for a national meeting

BASL can administer a bursary on behalf of industry to support specific groups to attend liver meetings such as the BASL Annual Meeting and the BLNA Nurse Meeting.
